AN extra £5.5million will be given to those affected by the Grenfell Tower.
Grants will be made to the 165 households whose homes are uninhabitable, the bereaved and seriously injured.
£5,5million is to be given to those who lost their homes or loved ones in the Grenfell Tower infernoPA:Press AssociationThe money will be distributed by the the London Emergencies Trust and the Rugby Portobello Trust.
Cash will be extended to families whose homes in nearby Grenfell Walk were destroyed.
Almost 100 days on from the blaze there are still 153 households in hotels and 41 in temporary accommodation.
Five families have been permanently rehomed.
Around £3.2 million from the British Red Cross will be paid to the next of kin of those who died in the tragedy.
Money from the Red Cross will also be given to survivors who were hospitalised for at least a week.

It’s been revealed that 48 out of 56 households have accepted  offers of a permanent place to live.
Mike Adamson, chief executive of the British Red Cross, said: “To date, money donated to the Red Cross has been entirely focused on the bereaved and seriously injured as a priority.
“Through the London Emergencies Trust, we are now going to top up the funds provided to the bereaved and seriously injured and extend funding to the 165 households in the Tower and the Walk who were affected by the fire.”
